Promoting your event to the Media

If you are intending to send out a press release, media operational notice or any other materials to publicise your event (either before or after your event), please ensure that you send it to the Assembly Communications Office in advance for review via email [email protected] The Communications Office will not make any changes to the substance of your press release, but may advise on the correct referencing of the building/function areas within the building, on procedural terms and on the correct titles to use for Members, the Speaker and/or any Assembly officials that may be referenced in your press release. 


Inviting the Media to attend your event

Media attendance, filming and photography are permitted in our function spaces without the prior consent of the Communications Office. However, filming restrictions do apply to other areas of the building, including, but not limited to the Senate and Plenary Chambers, the Senate and Plenary Rotundas and all corridors within Parliament Buildings.
